Intensity of a Feed

Two sides of the same process called survival.

Two sides of the same process called survival.

From the time we are born and possibly before that, we seek validation for our existence, validation brings balance. Based on our choice of the “why of our existence” (cause = I am), we each choose to create the “how of our existence” (effect = how I am ).

We then mold our behavior and attitude to fit the mental profile “how” with details representing an external picture of who we think we are or need to be. We then refer to this “how I am” profile throughout our lifetime, defending a reality that imprisons our “cause” by limiting the parameters to specific kinds of behavior associated with a specific thinking style that controls the “effect” “how I am” or the way people around us experience us.

What Is a Feed?

The fickle finger of blame is a favorite feeding utensil.

The fickle finger of blame is a favorite feeding utensil.

At the physical level, everything living on earth must feed in order to survive or continue to exist. It also seems that in order for one life to continue, another form of life must end or be depleted in some way. There may be exceptions to this, I just don’t know what they could be.

What then is a Feed? It is the consumption of energy (fuel or support) from any system for the  support or continuation of another system.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda

No one is safe from a defensive shadow!

No one is safe from a defensive shadow!

“If only” and “what if” are often associated with coulda, woulda and shoulda by playing a part in the regret. Coulda, woulda and shoulda such seemingly innocuous words are often used to create a powerful feed. Those three little words can twist possibilities into absolutes by making what didn’t happen a huge mistake and what might happen a potential disaster.

A good feed begins with the feeder agreeing or disagreeing with the feedee, who is defending their chosen reality. The challenge to one’s reality will always bring up defense.   Feedees feed on not being good enough while the feeders,  like any predator, feeds on being better than others. Artificially generated claims of knowing and understanding another’s experience all bring on the feast by sheer need to prove validity of reality.

Artificially Generated Feed

Finally, someone who really gets me.

Finally, someone who really gets me.

There are plenty of dramas to be had in our daily lives; with relationships we choose to perceive in our world, whether we are aware we are contributing to those dramas or not. The energy of a drama can lead us to think and behave differently than who we’d like to think we are. We understand so little about what drives us to experience the effects of drama on our minds and bodies, only that we can’t seem to live or exist without it. Why is that?

It is interesting to me that there is so much drama going on in our lives. We can always depend on the media for a guaranteed feed opportunity. The media, with all of its rich diversity of artificial stimuli, can be a wellspring for impersonal involvement that can bring a constant flow of meaningless emotional feeding that simulates genuine connection.

“Walk a mile in my shoes” is an impossible scenario on so many levels. Knowing exactly how or why someone feels the way they do can only be a guess at best. We are each independently wired with a unique imagination with which to create a one- of- a- kind perspective. Our own view of life can only parallel rather than duplicate another’s experience. There are no substitutes for an original thought or real- life connection.

A Feed of Convenience

Feeding is not a pretty sight to see!

Feeding is not a pretty sight to see!

When hunger emerges, no potential feed should be overlooked nor shift in dietary requirements be beyond consideration in satisfying the urge.

As a fellow feeder, I have been plagued many a time, even daily, with the perplexing uncertainty of what to eat or feed upon. My first thought is what’s best for my health and the environment, then I look for what is ready, available and accessible, regardless of what my body really needs.

Once the feeding frenzy is over, my mind then has to justify, mostly through denial, the nasty little memos from my body in revolt.

In nature, predators typically seek out the young, the slow or the unaware. I may do the same on more than the physical level with what I regard as a feed opportunity.

I wonder if being an omnivore with so many FEED choices, has led to a twisted moral sense of entitlement to feed on what I will.

Regret, the Silent Feed

Will your dreams of regret wake you up?

Will your dreams of regret wake you up?

When we are in a state of regret, thoughts of what could have been or should have been rerun over and over, forcing our minds and hearts to play a destructive game of detective that seems to result in more frustration and disappointment.

“IF ONLY” is the common theme of regret, like a whirlpool spinning our hearts and minds into a place of private entrapment. More  than intense anger, regret is one of the hardest feelings to shake. Whatever we may imagine we’ve done wrong, negative self judgment can create and maintain an investment that makes regret seem even more real while intensifying those regrets in the process – a self-amplifying loop.

Getting out of the control of a regret feed loop can be as simple as someone accepting you, someone encouraging you, someone introducing humor to your situation, or through medication, counseling, or by other means including pulling yourself up and out by sheer will or a good rest. These may only be temporary interventions, however; creating a  permanent change is ultimately up to you.

Drifting Windows

What's drifting into your windows?

What’s drifting into your windows?

Our earth has layers of atmosphere that function in various ways, much like the membrane of a single cell, protecting, nourishing and defining its world from others. Just like our bodies are mostly made up of nonhuman cells, the atmosphere of our planet too  is mostly comprised of things other than oxygen, nitrogen or other elements we are familiar with.

Carrying the human body analogy further, suppose the earth’s crust is mostly made up of foreign matter and debris. The overall mass of non-earth material could be pretty impressive, indeed.

If dimensional membranes could be compromised to allow access between them, perhaps our dimension is mostly populated by beings from other dimensions. Those rifts in the membranes may be drifting to different areas of our world, unwittingly inviting tiny visitors like viruses and bacteria, along with, perhaps, other things!

Drifting windows.

Flashing Dimensions

What's compromising your bubble?

What’s compromising your bubble?

What if the reason we can detect ETs at different times and places is because we are peering into another dimension, through a window, an opening of a kind of energetic veil or membrane sealing off one dimension from another? Could this also be the case for experiences with “spirits,”  “ghosts” and other apparitions?

Our bodies as well as all other bodies here on earth, at least in this dimension, are separated by these thin membranes surrounding structures of purpose that define forms and their functions. Similarly, dimensions may be separated by veils, keeping commonality IN and differences OUT.

Natural calamities are often accompanied by the appearance of UFOs, which could be ETs observing the effects of nature and/or their influence. Where do these UFOs come from? Are they a triggering element for natural catastrophes where dimensional membranes are compromised or do natural catastrophes themselves cause such compromise?

Separation Calls the Feeder

Feeders seek to separate their prey.

Everyone has biases or judgments that support a belief that separating out the best from the rest is important and right. Biases make us feel smart or right through insidious means, dividing our connections with humanity towards a feed. Separation calls the feeder.

We see this in nature. Lions and other predators seeking a feed will focus on the one prey animal that shows signs of or is separate from their group.

Catering to a Feed

What's on your table?

What’s on your table?

When I have investigated the rationale for my past behaviors and thoughts – my biased internal dialog about the “whys” I did something – a freezer full of defensive responses came spewing forth to my ego’s rescue. There are reasons for my behaviors, some of which even I can’t believe, but I am willing to defend them, no matter how stupid they may be.

I got to thinking about the feeders, how they eat negatively charged emotional energy like hors d’oeuvres at a party. Now I get a kind of sick satisfaction when the question “why” comes around, because now, I pause to think before I go to defense – taking the food off the table.

Withholding is a bitch!  😀

When I let go of a need to justify myself, I give myself a break from catering a party I don’t even want to attend.

What’s at your party table?
